Routine Pigging & Maintenance

Scheduled routine pigging increases pipeline flow, eliminating debris and reducing line corrosion, increasing flow and product production.

 After rigging in procedures are completed and the launcher / receiver stations are in place a white foam pig is run through the pipeline to determine the remaining pipe diameter due to build up. The pig size used in the line starts 1/2” inch smaller diameter than the pipeline to insure of pipeline integrity, increasing the pig size until pipe diameter is reached. The final procedure  consists of running another foam pig at pipe diameter size to insure the pipe is clean, this pig is shown to the project manager for approval before rigging out commences.

Pipeline Pigging Products

Successful cleaning of pipelines depends strongly on the proper pigging product being utilized. Determining factors to select the proper pigging product are:

1. Age and type of pipeline

2. Maximum operating pressure

3. Degree or type of radius bends.

4. Valve system utilized in pipeline.

5. Style of launcher / receivers

6. Pigs previously utilized for routine pigging & maintenance

7. Type of product in pipeline

8. Estimated buildup in pipeline

9. Viscosity

10. Velocity

11. Temperatures

Pipeline contents determine the construction material of the pigging products. Harsh contents such as condensate, fuel gas, high concentrations of H2S, CO2, diluents, etc. can damage improper pigging products.

Service Capabilities

FullFlo specializes in making pipelines piggable that were previously considered not piggable. This includes customizing all equipment required, from launcher / receivers, manufacturing spools, to specific cleaning pigs.

We custom design our products for an aggressive cleaning program with product diameters ranging from 3/4” inch to 36” inches. Our brushes are fabricated using stainless steel gauge wire which can be doubled for greater thickness, mounted on a partial pig that includes a locking mechanism for additional safety. Our line of customized pigs inside diameters range from (2”-1”/ 3”- 2”/ 4”-3”/ 8”-6”) used by Oil and Gas companies that previously thought line replacement was inevitable.
